Best tourist places in Bangladesh
Maybe my country Bangladesh is small but my country has everything that a traveler could ask for. Mighty ocean, unique beaches, tall tall mountains, rugged trekking trails, beautiful islands, mysterious waterfalls, scenic spots, mysterious water bodies, aesthetic gardens, dense forest, numerous rivers, national parks, elegant haor, swamp forests, rural villages, tribe villages, and many more. So my country is not behind in the travel sector. But the problems of my country are the lack of popularity in the global range and the lack of proper management and guidelines in travel sectors by the government. Whatever, here I offer a list of travel destinations that can give the best travel taste in my country. For foreign tourists, I highly recommend these spots to start their traveling journey in my country.
1. Cox's Bazar Sea Beach:
First, you can explore Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach to learn what the world’s longest undivided sea beach looks like. And you can’t fully explore it because it is 120 km long. I have already visited it more than 10 times, and yet I can’t Explore it fully. I am not saying you need to visit Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach 10 times, I am just trying to make you feel how vast it is. This beach also works as a tourist fair. I mean, this beach is always extremely packed with tourists like we see at a fair. On the Beach, you will understand how to live a life entirely, and also this spot features the Marine Drive road; the most beautiful road in my country. So it is a must-visit spot in Bangladesh for anyone.
2. Saint Martin:
If you are done exploring the sea beach, let’s visit another wonderful creation of the Bay of Bengal, Saint Martin Island. My country has many islands but it is perfect for a getaway. Because it is the only coral island in my country that creates stunning natural landscapes with the Bay of Bengal and it is just 8 square kilometers. So this small place is packed with full of beauty.
3. Tanguar haor:
Haor refers to an area where half the year is dry and the other half of the year, is a sink in water, especially from the monsoon season. And in monsoon, Tanguar Haor is another natural masterpiece that reminds me how beautiful my country Bangladesh is. Monsoon + Tanguar Haor + Meghalaya’s hill at distant + Houseboat + You = a perfect holiday plan in Bangladesh. If you are exploring Tanguar Haor on a houseboat, eventually you will end up visiting almost every spot in the Sunamganj district. Isn’t it a good thing? Many say that those who have not seen Tanguar haor have not seen anything of Bangladesh.
4. Kuakata Sea Beach:
Here is already a sea beach on the list so why another one? Because Kuakata Sea Beach hits differently, and compared to Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach it is less crowded and shows the best breathtaking scenery of the Bay of Bengal. And in Bangladesh, Kuakata Sea Beach is one of the places that are famous for both sunrise and sunset views. As it is very charming, we the Bengal people named it “Sagor Konna”. In English, it means the beautiful daughter of a mighty sea.
5. Kaptai Lake:
Now let’s visit the biggest lake in my country which is located in the hilly Rangamathi district. Rangamathi is a place of absolute nature. You will be amazed to know that the biggest lake in the country is not naturally made, Humans created it. And the hilly Rangamathi district is the one who just not only makes it look way more natural than natural but also makes it the most beautiful lake in my country. The Vastness of the lake is enough to make tourists fascinated and when its natural beauty comes tourists fall into a cast of an illusion of beauty. A thought of mine: Rangamathi district made the Kaptai Lake worthy, and now Kaptai Lake makes the tourists visit the Rangamathi district. Even some people visit the Rangamathi district just to see Kaptai Lake.
6. Dim Pahar:
Actually, I am not enlisting Dim Pahar. I simply enlist the Bandarban district where the Dim Pahar is nestled. The Bandarban district is the heart of travel and tourism in my country. literally, Our God coded the whole Bandarban district for travel and tourism. And I choose the Dim Pahar, one of the best natural sides of Bandarban to make you crazy about Bandarban district. After visiting the Dim Pahar, you will surely visit more places in Bandarban. And about the Dim Pahar, it is a hill and the highest road in my country goes over it. That feature allows tourists and travelers to see the best natural side of Bandarban.
7. Sajek Valley:
Sajek Valley known as the rooftop of Rangamthi is a place where clouds and hills meet and fall in love. As a result of their love, they provide an unmatched environment and breathtaking scenery. The lush green of the surroundings gives the last touch of its beautiful makeup. An absolutely scenic place in Bangladesh.
8. Devotakhum:
I will definitely make you crazy about Bandarban, so here I come with another absolutely natural spot of Bandarban. In the place, you will travel on a water body with a bamboo raft, which has steep rocky walls on both sides that look like mountains. And the top is covered with dense forest. It takes 40 minutes to go around the place completely but the place will give you 40 years of peace. And before going to that place, you have to trek a lot. So all in all this place will take you to natural peace.
9. Puran Dhaka:
By judging its name you can guess it is related to my country’s capital city Dhaka. You’re correct, of course. However, in addition to being related, it is situated in Dhaka. Referred to as Dhaka’s cultural and historical center. Visiting Puran Dhaka is like stepping back in time when the Mughals ruled this region. The Lalbagh Fort and the Ahsan Manzi are the creations of the Mughals. Besides these, there are Tara Mosque, Shakhari Bazar, and the Armenian Church which also shows more about this place. For the culture, Eid (Muslim holy festival) and Durga puja (Hindhu holy festival) are observed on a grand scale in Puran Dhaka. And except for that place, there is nowhere to celebrate Shakrain (Kite Festival), so you should visit it at least once. I like the Puran Dhaka, when I am hungry. In Ramadan, Puran Dhaka is my must-visit place. The variety of foods this place has directly hit my taste buds; Biriyani, Morog Polao, kebabs, and sweets.
10. Sreemangal:
Let’s visit the kingdom of tea heavens in Bangladesh. In Sreemangal, there are more than 150 tea gardens but they fully occupy the whole Sreemangal. Each garden is so big that like there is no end. Before visiting Sreemangal, I never thought tea gardens would look so beautiful, and I never thought I would fall for tea gardens’ beauty.
11. Sundarbans:
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, The best wonder of my country and one of the best wonders in the world is the Sundarbans; The largest mangrove forest. Royal big cat the Royal Bengal Tiger lives here. Exploring the Sundarbans by houseboat through countless canals and looking for the Royal Bengal Tiger are favorite activities of tourists. And this is the main reason why visitors from both domestic and foreign countries swarm here.
12. Panam City
The historical city from the fifteenth century is located beside the capital city of Dhaka. One of the earliest cities of Bangladesh standing from the fifteenth century to now and this city was ruled by Isha Khan. Once it was a capital city but now it’s an abandoned city and all the buildings become ruins day by day.
