Being inside the deep forest of the waterfall will surely give travel enthusiasts an incredible feeling of adventure; 3 to 4 hours boating on the Sangu River and then trekking on hilly terrain, dense forests, and rocky paths for at least 4 hours to explore the waterfall. This is what a travel enthusiast asks for. Amiakhum Waterfall is a place of nature where every second, every minute and every hour of yours will be your healing period.
Location of Amiakhum Waterfall:
Amiakhum waterfall is hidden on the east side dense forest of Thanchi, the largest upazila of hilly Bandarban. Wanna visit the waterfall.

How to go:
Travel enthusiasts start their journey by traveling to Bandanbar town. Bandarban town is well connected by road, make sure you hop on the right bus and come to Bandarban town. Then whether you choose Chander Gari (famous travel transportation of Bangladesh) or choose the bus to Thanchi from Bandarban town. I suggest you bus, it costs you a small amount of money compared to Chander Gari. Now, there are two ways to explore the Amiakhum waterfall. But first, you have to hire a local guide for the further journey and it is mandatory.

Easy way:
Reach Remarki Falls by boat from Thanchi Nouka Ghat; on this boat tour, travelers enjoy the Sangu River (The most beautiful river in Bangladesh), Raja Pathor spot, Thindu. This boat will take at least 4 hours.
Now the real game starts, Travelers must display their bravery and strength. Travelers have to face a long trekking trail which can be long 6 hours. On the way, you will find another charming waterfall, the Nafakhum Waterfall. Pretty similar to Amikhum waterfall, enjoy it and keep trekking forward to the final destination. Return to Thanchi the way you came.
Hard way:
Reach Padma jhiri from Thanchi Nouka Ghat and start trekking from there. have to trek 17 km. On the way, travel enthusiasts witness numerous little fountains, streams, hilly terrain, dense forests, rocky paths, and tribal people villages (Runajan Para, Horidchondro para) to reach Thuisa para another tribal village where travelers stay a night.
The next day travelers have to do both trek and hike. They have to hike over a hill called Devota Hill and then trek to the final point, Amiakhum Waterfall.
To come back to Thanchi, travelers have to continue their trekking to reach Remarki Falls, on the way, travelers will find the Nafakhum Waterfall. By boat, travelers go back to Thanchi from Remarki Falls.
Yes, the way is hard compared to the first one but in this way, travel enthusiasts can enjoy the Padma Jhiri trail, a few tribal villages, Devota hill, Amiakhum & Nafakhum water, Remarki Falls, Raja Pathor, and the beautiful Sangu river.
Note: From Thanchi Nouka Ghat, the boat service they provide is an up-down boat service. So, on your return, the boat will be waiting at the Remarki Falls.

Food and stay
You already know that to see the Amiakhum waterfall, you have to trek for a long time through the jungle. So, tourists carry their own food, and many cook their own food in the forest. However, there are food facilities at Tindu Para and Remakri Falls along the Sangu River. If you go to see the waterfall via the Padma Jhiri route, then there is no other option but to cook and eat in the tribal village, and tourists have to carry the food for cooking. Tourists usually shop from Thanchi market.
If you go via the Padma Jhiri route, you have to stay in the tribal village, possibly at Thuisa Para. And if you go via the Sangu River route, tourists can stay in the resorts of Tindu Para and Remakri Falls, while many others can camp on their own.
