Bandarban tourist spot

Regarding natural spots, my whole country is on one side, and the Bandarban district is on the other. Bandarban has the maximum number of tourist spots in my country, and every Bandarban tourist spot is a piece of natural art. What do you prefer: mountains, waterfalls, Khum, lake, adventure trail, wild river, forest, tribal peoples, their villages, and their culture? You will find everything in the Bandarban District to satisfy your travel soul. For any aspect of traveling Bandarban fits perfectly, I even address Bandarban as a travel Universe of my country. I have already visited Bandarban so many times but till now I can’t fully explore the hilly district. Even for some spots, I need to stay overnight with tribal people. Bandarban district always shows something new to travel enthusiasts and it will remain the same. Here, in this blog, I listed a couple of Bandarban tourist spots to assist you in your Bandaraban exploration trip.
1. Meghla Parjatan Complex
Megla Parjatan Complex is located in Bandarban city, just 4 km away from it. One big lake, two hanging bridges, cable cars, and a mini zoo are there to entertain tourists. The whole tourist complex is like a trekking trail. You can think of it as a warm-up trekking session for the further trip to Bandarban Universe. Though this tourism complex is not the best spot in Bandarban you can have a good time there and it is one of the best places in Bandarban for a day trip. All I can say is that, after visiting the Meghla Parjatan Complex, Travel enthusiasts get fueled up more to explore the Bandarban.

2. Nilachal Tourist Center
Probably, This Bandarban tourist spot is the most visited in Bandarban. Almost every traveler visits the spot if they come to Bandarban. This spot provides vast views of green hills and if the sky is clear tourists can witness the Bay of Bengal from here. It is located 2000 feet above sea level on Tiger Hill. To host and serve, this spot features many viewpoints and sitting settings. Where tourists are often found doing the famous open-arm pose of Sharuk Khan or Titanic Movie. Nilachal Tourist Center and Meghla Tourism Complex are like starter items of a buffet and Bandarban is the buffet, tourists can visit both spots on a day trip.

3. Nilgiri Hill Resort
Nilgiri Hill Resort can be a good resting place on the way from Bandarban city to Thanchi. This resort is made and maintained by the Bangladesh Army and has done a great job of showcasing the beauty of Bandarban. Tourists don’t need to book any room, just paying an entry fee tourists can enjoy the whole resort atmosphere. If the weather is fine, this Nilgiri Hill Resort is enough for travel enthusiasts make fall in love deeply with the Bandarban. The views here are more fascinating than Nilachal.

4. Sangu River
Sangu River is the most beautiful river in my country I have ever seen This river flows through the foot of the Bandarban mountains. The landscapes it produces directly hit the soul of travel enthusiasts. The river is not very wide but It is long and flows through the entire Bandarban district, even connected with the Bay of Bengal in the Chittagong region. Normally tourists enjoy the Sangu River from Thanchi to Remarki Falls, where they encounter Big lush green hills, waterfalls, big stones (Raja Pathor spot), and many more attractions. In monsoon, it looks terribly beautiful, water comes down from the mountains and strengthens the river.

5. Nafakhum Waterfall
Nafakhum waterfall is one of the best natural sides of Bandarban, where travelers can enjoy Bandarban nature fullest. Normally waterfall is a very shooting attraction of nature, but what if it is located in a deep forest? To find, travelers have to do both travel by boat and trekking on rocky trails, in thick forests, and on hilly terrain. At the Remarki-Falls, the Sangu River split into two parts. From there, travelers get down from the boat and start trekking along the upper part. Within a few hours (3-4) of trekking travelers find the Nafakhum Waterfall. It is certainly an adventure and every travel enthusiast wants to have this type of experience.

6. Amiakhum Waterfall
Judging by its name, you can guess that Amiakhum Waterfall is connected with Nafakhum Waterfall. Yes, my friend, you are right. Both waterfalls are located on the same trails and they look very similar. But the only difference between both waterfalls is the Amiakhum Waterfall is located in the deeper part, to find it tourists have to trek 3-4 hours more from Nafakhum Waterfall. So, it gives more thrill, more adventure, and more fun on the journey. Amiakhum waterfall can make travel enthusiasts happier because of a few more amazing scenic spots (Shat-VaiKhum, Velakhum, Naikkhong Mukh, and Mathvara Khum) located nearby.

7. Dim Pahar
Dim Pahar is an egg-shaped hill in Bandarban, though it is a hill it is known among travelers for a road. The highest road in my country goes over the hill and is one of the most dangerous roads. But it represents the hilly Bandarban beauty and nature very well. According to my travel dictionary, This road is the second most beautiful road in my country. Often this hill is covered by clouds that make the hill even more stunning to enjoy.

8. Boga lake
A beautiful high-altitude lake, maybe 1,246 feet above sea level which is created by volcanic eruption or tectonic activity. The lake occupies 15 acres of land and has a depth of about 38 meters. However local tribal people believe it was created from a curse of a dead dragon. In their myth, a big dragon lived there but local people killed it and ate it. The next day the entire area turns into a lake. Whatever the truth, Boga Lake is so beautiful and travelers love its beauty so much. In the past tourists loved to camp here, but now so many resorts are built up. So, tourists are no longer camping here. Yet they gather here to enjoy the lake. After all, Boga Lake is one of the beautiful creations of Bandarban.

9. Keokradong
It is the hill that was once recognized as Mount Everest of Bangladesh. In the past tourists, travelers, and adventurers had to hike from Boga Lake but now from Boga Lake, there is a 17 km road all the way to Keokradong. In the past travelers, and adventurers stayed overnight in a “Jum ghar” or tribal people’s house but now they can stay overnight in a brick cement resort. The timeless beauty of Keokradong is the one thing that never changes. And Keokradong is the name of emotion that taught Bangladeshi travelers to love hills and hiking.

10. Devotakhum
Khums are special waterbodies of nature. Do you know what a khum look like? A waterbody that is protected by walls is called a Khum. It looks like a canyon but it is different, it is always filled with water. And in khums, Debotakhum is king. Travel enthusiasts of my country address it as the king of khum. No doubt, it is the finest Bandarban tourist spot where every moment fascinates you.

11. Kristong and Rungang Hill summit

12. Raikkiyang Lake
When I first ever visited this lake, I said to Allah, did you really place this lake here in Bangladesh? The first interaction with the lake made me speechless. I always thought this kind of lake was only seen in movies but if it actually exists, it will be in other countries. After witnessing this lake, I felt my vision was so wrong about my country’s beauty. Geographically this lake falls in Rangamathi district but the easiest way to get there is via Bandarban. That is why I added this magical waterbody to this spot list.

13. Bandarban Golden Temple
Its actual name is Buddha Dhatu Jadi Temple but the whole temple colour is golden. So, it became popular as the Golden Temple of Bandarban. I haven’t visited it but all I know is it is popular among tourists and features the second-biggest statue of the Great Buddha in Bangladesh. It is reachable by road and quite close to Bandarban city.

14. Mirinja Valley
Mirinja Valley has recently become a trending Bandaraban tourist spot for tourists. In the valley, Travelers can stay overnight in a Jhum-Ghar-type resort with a huge balcony or they can stay overnight by camping. The lush green mountain views you will see from here are captivating and in the morning its views are more captivating. It is located in Lama Upazila.

15. Alir Guha
There are some mysteries of nature that fascinate and amaze us. The three caves or tunnels in Ali’s hill in Alikadam upazila of Bandarban are one such mystery that fascinates and amazes adventure lovers. These caves will make your hair stand on end and scare you. The caves are very narrow, you have to crawl into cave number 2 and the caves are dark inside. People like me flock here in search of a terrifying experience.

16. Maraingtong Hill
A hill in Alikadam upazila of Bandarban which is known all over the country for camping. The hill is 1640 feet high, and atop it are two sculptures of Buddhists and a massive banyan tree. Looking from the top, we can see the clouds and mountains meeting on the horizon and the Matamuhuri River running like a snake on the plain. With time, this scene presents itself in a more perfect form. At night, the cool breeze coming from the Bay of Bengal will blow away all the fatigue in your body, and in the morning you will be in friendship with the clouds.

17. Palong Khiyang
Travelling in the Alikadam circuit of Bandarban means trekking all day in the jungle of Alikadam, finding a jhum house and taking rest there when you get tired, cooling off your sweat if you find a stream of water somewhere, staying in the tribal neighbourhood at night and eating food cooked with jhum rice. Palong Khiyang is a waterfall, but it is located deep in the jungle of Alikadam, which you have to trek for a long time to reach. Many people choose this trail to get lost in the hilly jungle, and there are waterfalls along it. However, the famous two waterfalls are Palong Khiyang and Than Kuain Waterfalls.

18. Baklai Waterfall
This waterfall is located near the Baklai tribal Para of Thanchi Upazila of Bandarban district. According to many nature enthusiasts in Bangladesh, it is the highest waterfall in the country; its height is estimated at 370-380 feet. To go here, you will need a lot of physical as well as mental strength. You will have to get lost in the Thanchi jungle if you go out in search of it. You will have to do jungle trekking in the hilly jungle far away from the locality for at least two days. All the fatigue of the body will be erased if you see it, which is incredibly beautiful.
