In terms of travel and tourism, The whole of Bangladesh is on one side and the Bandarban district is on the other. No district in Bangladesh is more enriched in travel and tourism than Bandarban. For that, Bandarban earns many names from people like us. Some call Bandarban a paradise of mountains, some call it a trekking heaven, some call kingdom of waterfalls, and some call it a heaven of nature. By discovering the Meghla Tourism Complex you can start your Bandarban universe trip. One big lake, two hanging bridges, cable cars, and a mini zoo are there to entertain tourists. The whole tourist complex is like a little trekking trail. It seems like a warm-up trekking trail for the further trip to Bandarban. This tourist complex is one of the best places to know the Bandarban beauty for a day trip.

3. Nilgiri Hill Resort:

This resort is made and maintained by the Bangladesh Army. Yes, it is a resort and as well as one of the good places to showcase the beauty of Bandarban. If the weather is fine, this Nilgiri Hill Resort is enough to you make fall in love deeply with the Bandarban.

4. Sangu River:

From my point of view, the Sangu River is the most beautiful river in my country. This river goes between the foot of mountains in crooked road. The river is narrow but both sides are packed with great interest. Sometimes you get to see a tribal village on one side of the river, sometimes in the river, you discover yourself at big stones and sometimes this river leads you to a majestic waterfall. The water of the river is very cool and the surrounding mountains are totally covered with lush green. All of these make landscapes that directly bring tranquility to over soul. When a boat runs over the river, it feels like a boat running over a river of dreams.

5. Nafakhum Waterfall:

While enjoying the Sangu river from Thanchi, the river splits into 2 at Remakri. There is a waterfall if you trek 7 km to the left. That is the NafaKhum waterfall. A soothing natural spot of Bandarban. This waterfall is famous among tourists. Because of discovering it, tourists have to go boating and trekking. Which allows tourists to enjoy the best nature of Bandarban. At the end, the Nafakhum waterfall is there, you can recharge your battery by taking a shower in the waterfall or seeing the soothing natural beauty of the waterfall.

6. Amiakhum Waterfall:

Now if you trek longer from Nafakhum waterfall, you will find another waterfall. This is Amiakhum waterfall. Do you realize something? To see this waterfall you have to trek into more deeper forest. Isn’t it more adventuring? Even tourists can get more adventuring feeling by camping there. No one can’t understand how magical a waterfall looks in the deep forest without going to Amiakhum waterfall. Amiakhum waterfall can make you more happy. Because its surroundings, you can find a few more amazing scenic spots in Bandarban. (Sat Vai Khum, Velakhum, Naikkhong mukh, and Mathvara Khum).

7. Dim Pahar:

It is a hill but it is known for a road. According to my travel dictionary, This road is the second most beautiful road in the land of Bangladesh. And in Bangladesh, this road is the highest road. I’m referring to the road that runs from Thanchi to Dim Pahar. This road will take you from the mountains to the clouds.

8. Boga lake:

A beautiful high-altitude lake, maybe 1,246 feet above sea level which is created by volcanic eruption or tectonic activity. This lake occupies 15 acres of land and has a depth of about 38 meters. Its watercolor is green or blue, it depends on the sunlight. In the past tourists loved to camp here, but now so many resorts are built up. So tourists are no longer camping here. Yet they gather here to enjoy the lake. After all, Boga Lake is one of the beautiful creations of Bandarban.

9. Keokradong:

It is the hill that was recognized as Mount Everest of Bangladesh. In the past tourists, travelers, and adventurers had to hike from Boga Lake but now there is a 17 km road all the way to the Keokradong. In the past tourists, travelers, and adventurers stayed overnight in a “Jum ghar” or tribal people’s house but now they can stay overnight in a brick cement resort. The timeless beauty of Keokradong is the one thing that never changes. And Keokradong is the name of emotion that teaches us to love hills and hiking.

10. Devotakhum:

Khums are always special waterbodies of nature. Do you know what a khum look like? A waterbody that is protected by walls is called a Khum. It looks like a canyon but it is different, it is always filled with water. Devotakhum is even more special because it is located deep in the forest, 600 feet long, with cool water, sunlight hardly penetrates, and a complete package of trekking, adventuring, and kayaking. For its unmatched beauty, the Devotakhum is called king of all khum.

11. Raikkiyang Lake:

When I first ever visited this lake, I said to Allah, did you really place this lake here in Bangladesh? The first interaction with the lake made me speechless. I always thought this kind of lake was only seen in movies but if it actually exists, it will be in other countries. After witnessing this lake, I felt I was so much wrong about my country’s beauty. I really don’t know how can I describe this lake’s beauty with limited words. Geographically this lake falls in Rangamathi district but the easiest way to get there is via Bandarban. That is why I added this magical waterbody to this spot list.

Peaceful view of hills and pond in Bandarban, Bangladesh under a clear blue sky.

12. Bandarban Golden Temple:

Its actual name is Buddha Dhatu Jadi Temple but the whole temple colour is golden. So, tourists know it as the golden temple of Bandarban. I haven’t visited it but all I know is it is popular among tourists and features the second-biggest statue of the Great Buddha in Bangladesh.

13. Mirinja Valley:

This spot has recently become trending among tourists. In the middle of 2024, something big happened in my country, and Govt needed to shut down the Bandarban. I mean tourists were not allowed to visit maximum spots in Bandarban. But in the middle of the year, Bandarban looks most attractive and tourists never want to miss it. So they find the Mirinja Valley as an option to satisfy their traveling thirst. However, the option has become the main tourist spot. In Mirinja Valley, you can stay overnight in a “Jum ghar” or camp. In the morning what you discover will blow your body and mind.

My friends, I already said Bandarban is a travel universe, as a universe I can’t finish it off with just a blog. Yes, I know more natural places in Bandarban but I have other plans with these places.
