Khagrachari tourist spot
One of Bangladesh’s three hill districts is Khagrachari. Again, I am saying that Bandarban, Rangamathi, and Khagrachai are the best natural areas in Bangladesh. Each district is like a travel universe for Bangladeshi travelers. So covering a travel universe with just a blog article is impossible. But I have made a list of some of the natural places in Khagrachari to make the journey of travel enthusiasts easier. Even some places on the list are so charming that they stick in your mind forever. Hope my list will be useful for you while traveling to Khagrachari.
1. Sajek Valley:
A valley that has made its kingdom with clouds. You can touch the clouds, play with clouds, live in the clouds, and get lost in the clouds in this Sajek valley. The views Sajek Valley produces are jow-dropping and pure like a queen. You’ll just want to stare. We Bengali people call it the Queen of Hills for its unbelievable beauty. This Queen is 1800 feet above sea level and surrounded by her greeny Soldier hills. People started visiting this queen in 2014 and from then this queen made people crazy with her unmatched beauty and became a top tourist spot in my country. Geographically Sajek Valley is located in the Rangamathi district but the easiest way to reach there is via Khagrachari. That’s why I listed Sajek Valley here.
2. Alutila Tourist Centre:
The biggest attraction of Khagrachari. In the past, Alutila was the biggest hill in the Khagrachari, and at its base was the longest cave in Bangladesh. This cave was the main center of attraction for tourists. And this cave can deliver a thrilling feeling. The sunlight never reaches the cave, totally dark, cold, and slippery, and becomes narrower towards the front. It takes 10-20 minutes to go through from one end to another end of the cave. Till now this cave has been the main attraction but the administration of Khagrachari made hanging bridges, viewpoints, cafes, and many more structures and turned the Alutila hill of the Khagrachari into a fine tourist center.
3. Mayung Kopal-(স্বর্গের সিঁড়ি):
A 300-step staircase was constructed at Hatimata Hill in 2015 to facilitate the movement of Indigenous people, connecting the base of the hill to the top of the hill. However, it proved to be a pleasant tourist destination. Not only a fine spot but also a great trekking trail. Trekkers surely love this staircase. From the Chengi River cross to the Hatimata hilltop, it will take 3-4 hours to trek. In my point view it’s worth enough to get your attention. Hilly, lush green, beautiful views, and trekking adventure.
4. Panchari Shantipur Aranya Kutir:
It is a Buddhist temple, a wonder of Khagrachari, and a holy place on earth. It’s just not a simple temple but also the biggest in my country and the second-biggest Buddhist temple in South Asia. The 50-foot-long sculpture of Gautam Buddha is sitting there as if it’s praying for the whole of mankind. And many more holy things of the Buddhist religion. This holy temple stands on over 65 acres of land and the whole land is covered with 35 thousand wild plants. So Surely, this holy place will enrich your travel experience and enhance your travel vision.
5. Risang waterfall:
I am sure you’re saying now, after so long, Toukir talks about a mountain spring, Isn’t it? Like all other hill springs it is very beautiful but this hill spring has a special feature. And that is, its water falls from a height of 100 feet and descends the mountain slope to form a natural slide. Yes, a slide. Such springs provide great entertainment.
6. Toiduchara waterfall:
This spot is for trekking lovers. Losing yourself in the deep forest of Khagrachari, sometimes along the hilly crooked path, sometimes through the forest, and sometimes through the mountain spring trail, while trekking in search of this unique waterfall. On this journey, you will be caught in the magic of the forest. Even, some tourists do picnic there. That’s great to have a picnic there, but some tourists dump their waste there. It’s not good. Except for this one, this spot is 10/10 for trekking.
7. Mayabini Lake:
Wanna camp or have a picnic in Khagrachari, Mayabini Lake is a suitable one. Nice, aesthetic structure, serene environment, wild wind surrounds, many resting settings like wooden swings, benches, lofts, etc, and cold water of the lake. Even, you can kayak on the lake. As like Mayabini Lake is just created for relaxing. Mayabini Lake can be your relief spot from heavy traveling stress or can be a place where you can spend your earned holiday.
8. HDCH Park:
Start your Khagrachari trip with Hill District Council Park. This park is 3 km away from Khagrachari City or you can say it is in Khagrachari City. As a tourist attraction, this HDCH Park is outstanding. A hanging bridge, a lake, flower gardens, perfect roaming space, and a hilly forest enviroment are there to refresh tourist souls. But you can’t expect more from this place. After all, it is in the city, so it can’t give you the best natural side of Khagrachari.
Devota Pukur, a holy water body that is placed 1000 feet above sea level, Hazachora waterfall which is banned from visiting due to some safety issues, but people still go there, Hotong-Kochu Ziri an attractive trekking trail, Mahalchhari Lake is another huge lake of Khagrachari. So like Bandarban and Rangamathi, this hilly district has many natural and tourist spots. So my friends, all of us should explore these places first. Then again come to me, and I will give more natural spots names of Khagrachari.
