Marine Drive Road Cox’s Bazar is the most beautiful road in my country and one of the reasons why Bangladeshi travel enthusiasts visit Cox’s Bazar again and again. Though it is 80 km long it never allows travelers to feel bored. Because the road holds the two most beautiful natural things is its both sides that all travel enthusiasts ask for. The sea ( Bay of Bengal ) and hills; mean the vastness of the ocean on one side and the peaceful view of the mountains on the other side. What would be the best road in Bangladesh in terms of beauty than Marine Drive Road Cox’s Bazar? Also, this road is one of the safest roads in my country because the Bangladesh Army is always patrolling the road and keeping an eye on everything. Ever there are two Army checkposts to ensure traveler safety.

I’m giving two ways to visit the most beautiful road in my country; the normal way and the adventurous way.

Normal way

Normally tourists come to Cox’s Bazar first, then they book Chander Gari to explore tourist spots as well as the Marine Drive road. Recently in Cox’s Bazar, many tourist transportation services have grown where they offer bikes or scooters(self-service). Rent a bike or scooter is the best to enjoy Marine Drive Road and whoever in my country has a bike, I humbly request you to ride at least one time on this road. The encounter between you and Marine Drive Road Cox’s Bazar will be an unforgettable memory in your life, my friend.

Adventurous way

If you are traveling solo, then it is a good way to enjoy the road because it saves you money and time. Actually, it is my way of enjoying the road. My plan is to go to Cox’s Bazar via Teknaf. What I mean is: First come to Teknaf, then rent a vehicle to go to Cox’s Bazar. As a vehicle, you can rent a CNG or bike. In this way, you can enjoy the road even before reaching Cox’s Bazar. Solo traveling is always risky, I know it very well. Because I am also a solo traveler, so be careful with everything my friend.

Cox’s Bazar and Teknaf are well connected by road from Dhaka and other Major cities in my country, also you can travel to Cox’s Bazar by plane.

1. Marine Drive Road Cox’s Bazar is 80 km long and the longest natural sea beach is 120 km long. So ride the whole road means, you will cover 66% part of the longest natural sea beach. There are some points on the road where you need to pay money for parking, except for that there are no other obstacles to stop you from enjoying the road.

2. Himchori Hill: All of the tourists stop here while passing through the Marine Drive Road, this place gives tourists the luxury of viewing the Bay of Bengal from the top of the hill. Hills and sea together, a perfect travel recipe that every travel lover wants to taste in life.

Food & Stay

Tourists do not have to worry about accommodation, as there are many hotels and resorts to stay in Cox’s Bazar and Teknaf. There are all kinds of hotels and resorts here, from average to five-star. However, it would be very good if tourists reserve a hotel or resort in advance because during the tourist season, Cox’s Bazar is crowded with tourists, then it becomes difficult to find a good quality hotel or resort there.

You will get food at the hotel or resort; if you want to eat outside, there is no problem. You will find many beautiful and good restaurants on the Marine Drive Road from Cox’s Bazar to Teknaf; my personal favorite is the Coral Station Restaurant. Apart from these, there are many roadside food stalls, but be a little careful when eating here and ask for the price of the food.
