Sreemangal tourist spot

Sreemangal tourist spot

In Bangladesh, we call it the Kingdom of Tea. Up to 90 percent of tea gardens in Bangladesh are situated in Sreemangal. So, my friend wherever you roam around in Sreemangal, you will definitely discover tea gardens. And in every garden, you will be amazed by the set up of tea gardens. But buddy, Sreemangal also features many natural spots that are worth it for travel. Then what is the problem? The problem is people outside Sreemangal don’t know these places. That’s why travelers get puzzled about what to see except the tea gardens in Sreemangal. I think I can help all of you get rid of the confusion with my Sreemangal tourist spot list.

1. Visiting Tea Gardens:

Brother brother don’t be angry, just scroll down the page. See, there are other spots besides tea gardens. Can I continue now? In Sreemangal, you will find tea gardens wherever you see left, right, front, back, up, and down. So wandering in the tea gardens is like an eternal activity there. I like Nurjahan Tea Estate and Darjeeling Tila of Mr Khan Tea State for tea gardens. Buddy, you can also add these two to your bucket list for the Shreemangal visit.

2. Lawachara National Park:

If you are bored with numerous tea gardens, then come to Lawachara National Park. It takes 20-30 minutes to reach. In there, you can find 160+ different types of plants, 28 different types of Amphibias, 50 different types of reptiles, 200+ different types of birds, and 45 different types of mammal species. A small community of Khasi’s people lived there. You can explore their world there, You just have to know your limits. Although this forest is home to 500+ different flora and fauna but it is not a big forest. So, No fear of losing here, go wherever you want. Ohh, one thing, there is a railway that goes through it, which makes it famous for movie shooting spots. Numerous Bangla movie scenes were shot here, even an Oscar-winning Hollywood movie ” Around the World in Eighty Days” was shoot here.

3. Hum Hum waterfall:

To spice up your Sreemangal tour, Hum Hum waterfall is necessary. In the first place, it is a waterfall, that’s water falls from 135-160 feet above. Secondly, it is close to India’s Tripura state. On the way, tourists can see a few villages of Tripura. Finally, it features a 2-3 hour trekking trail. On that trail, 4-5 hills will challenge you. My friend, don’t be scared that trail is not that much hard. Now, add this spot to your Sreemangal trip bucket list.

4. Madhabpur Lake:

This lake is situated among small small hills that feature tea gardens. I like to spend time around the lake where there is a light breeze. If you look at the picture on the right side, you will see me and my friends Adel, Ibrahim, and Sakib sitting in such a place and killing time. On your last day in Sreemangal, you can spend the full afternoon here and return home

5. Lasuban Gorge/ Nahar Gorge:

Totally an adventurous place. A gorge goes through a deep forest and people have the facility to explore it. Basically, it is not a single gorge, might be there are three gorges. What is the actual number no one knows, even the locals. Because these gorges share a location between Bangladesh and India. So our people don’t have the right to enter the Indian part. But all of these gorges are interconnected. And the main thing is tourists do like it. But the funny thing is when tourists hear about the place, they don’t want to believe this spot is located in Sreemangal. What comes to their head is Bandarban.

6. Nirala Khashia Punji:

As we know, Maximum Khasi community lives in Meghalaya, Tripura of India. Only a few Khasi communities live in Sylhet. In them, Nirala Khashia Punji is the most beautiful and the biggest Khasi community village.

[Note: The road to get to Nirala Khashia Punji is really dangerous and there is no devoted transportation service to go there. In Sreemangal, somehow I managed a bike with a guide to visit Nirala Khashia Punji.]

7. Baikka beel:

A vast waterbody that means to protect birds and fishes and it doing its job perfectly. But in recent times it also does another job; serves as a pleasant place for tourists. My list finishes here. Enjoy your time in Sreemangal.
