Tourist places in Gazipur

Gazipur, the district is located just beside the north side of the capital Dhaka. This district has a great impact on our economy. Bangladesh is recognized globally for its textile and garment industry. In that recognition, Gazipur plays a significant role with its numerous factories. So, Gazipur is one of our industrial asset districts. And it is known for that but it is quite famous among people in another aspect, especially people of Dhaka. I am talking about tourist places in Gazipur. Gazipur is blessed with both sides; as an industrial area and has natural places that attract tourists. For Dhaka’s people, it’s like a place where they can take breaks from their regular mechanical life. Let’s learn about each of Gazipur’s tourist attractions individually. Additionally, I believe Gazipur should be given more credit in the travel and tourism industry.

1. Bangabandhu Safari Park:

What is a safari park? Safari Park is a large forest area for the purpose of education, research, recreation, etc., where native and exotic wild animals have the opportunity to breed and roam, and tourists ride in secure vehicles to observe it. As a Safari park Bangabandhu Safari Park has many lacks, but it is the only safari park in my country. The best thing is it always tries to improve its version. At present time, it is placed on 3,810 acres of land. It has a core Safari park section where tourists ride secured vehicles to enjoy wild animals like lions, the Royal Bengal tiger, and bears. It has also a Bird Sanctuary, Reptile House, aquarium world, botanical gardens, and Butterfly Garden. For tourists, it also features boat rides, a picnic area, an aesthetic bridge, and many more. Yes, I admit that As a Safari park, it has many shortcomings. But it is okay because it keeps trying to improve it.

2. Bhawal National Park:

Bhawal National Park is huge and quite near to Dhaka. To roam freely in nature and watch wildlife, Bhawal National Park has a great influence on Dhaka’s people. And it is obvious, the people of Gazipur love it. Although now in Bhawal National Park we do not see much biodiversity. Only 64 species of animals are found in the huge area of 12809 acres. Among them 6 types of Mammals, 9 types of Reptiles, 10 types of Amphibia, and 39 types of Aves. In the past, it was richer in Biodiversity; tigers, leopards, black leopards, elephants, deer, peacocks, foxes, and many others lived there. Sadly we have totally failed to protect it. However, every national park in Bangladesh is a treat for tourists. Comfortable, enough space for roaming, absolute nature, and peace.

3. Bhawal Raj Shamshaneshwari:

It’s an eventful temple of the past where Bhawal Raj Jamider worshiped Maa Durga and Shiv. Also, Bhawal Raj Jamider used this place as their crematorium. In the Hindu community, when someone dies, the body is cremated for the release of the soul, and the place where it is cremated is called a crematorium. At that time, except for the Bhawal Raj people no one was allowed to use this temple. Now what is special about the temple? The temple itself is a special thing, it’s an archaeological artifact. The walls and the pillars hold the history of the Bhawal Raj people and the Mughal-style artwork. Sadly the archeological authority of my country is not taking adequate care of it. So, day by day the temple lost its beauty and stability. Therefore, I humbly ask that all tourists come to this temple as soon as possible and hunt its artwork. Who knows, when all the artwork of this temple will fall apart?

4. Resorts:

Gazipur is truly blessed to have nice nature-loving people. These people built numerous delightful resorts. In all these resorts, nature has been presented in a very admiring way. In terms of having admiring resorts, Gazipur easily beats many famous tourist spots in Bangladesh. Greentech Resort, Dream Square Resort, Bhawal Resorts and Spa, Chuti Resort, Sarah Resort, Heritage Resort, and Barnochata Resort are quite famous in Gazipur. To find a suitable one, read my “Best Resorts in Gazipur” blog page.

5. Nuhash polli:

It is the creation of Bangladesh literary legend Sir Humayun Ahmed. He was a multi-talented one. He loved to stay in nature. That affection for nature forced him to build Nuhash Polli. Here he spends his last days of life. Now his fans flock here to search for his presence. And also you don’t have to be a bookworm to have a good time there.

6. Mokosh Bil:

A wonderful waterbody at the chest of Gazipur and it is the emotion of Gazipur people. This Bil can slightly satisfy tourists Tanguar Haor craving. Moreover, there is a very small island called Monpura dhiwp. People come here to relieve the fatigue of busyness.

7. Morta Bridge:

It’s a normal bridge but if you see the video song “Mittha Shikhali” by Tanjib Sarowar, you will find the bridge differently. I mean the surrounding nature of the bridge. Just like the video, this spot looks extremely attractive in the monsoon season. My friend you should see the video first.

8. Kathiya bridge:

A little bridge that connects narrow brick roads from both sides. And water on both sides of the roads. The nature of this area makes it a refreshment place. Cycles and bikes are appropriate vehicles to go there.

9. Kanaiya, Belai Bil:

Belai Bil is another fine natural place in Gazipur where boating works as a healing. First, the cool water of Belai Bil will cool you deeply, and then you breathe the fresh air directly enters your body and refreshes you from the inner. At last the soothing surroundings of it will bring tranquility to your eyes.

Mokosh Bil, Morta Bridge, Kathiya Bridge, and Belai Bil are not proper tourist destinations but these places are where the nature looks very attractive in Gazipur. .
