Tourist places in Rangamati

Rangamati is the biggest district in Bangladesh, and also one of the hilly districts. Rangamati is a beautiful district of my country like a travel universe. So, tourists are always fond of tourist places in Rangamati for Rangamati’s scenic beauty. For scenic beauty, this hilly district gets many names from tourists; Queen of Form, Lake City of Bangladesh, and Lal Paharr Desh (Country of Red Mountains). As I already address Ranagmati as a travel universe. So, no matter how far you go to explore it, you can never fully explore it, and your soul asks more of it. Here on Huntingworldbeauty, I did note down a few significant beautiful attractions of the biggest district in my country on my travel experience for my travel buddies. I am sure, all of my travel buddies will like my list of tourist places in Rangamati. At least my buddies can say, they have visited some great places in the Lake City of Bangladesh.

1. Kaptai Lake:

The explanation for Rangamati’s reputation as Bangladesh’s Lake City. There are people in Bangladesh who come to Rangamathi just to visit the Kaptai Lake. Although it is man-made, it is not small rather it is the biggest lake in my country spread over 11000 square kilometers. It was created in 1962 intentionally by humans as part of the Karnaphuli Hydro Power Project. Those humans are gone, and they never got to know that they formed the biggest lake in Bangladesh which is tourists one of the favorite tourist places in Rangamati. The Rangamathi accepted it as her own and Presented it to everyone as the most beautiful lake in the country.

Nirban Nagar Buddhist Temple, Chakma Rajbari, Peda Ting Tong Island, and Tribal Cultural Museum are the remarkable places around Kaptai Lake, tourists should visit these on the Kaptai Lake tour.

Furomon Hill is a beautiful location in Rangamati, known for its scenic natural beauty. It is one of the ideal tourist places in Rangamati that visitors can easily explore on a day trip, making it a refreshing getaway. To enjoy your visit, arrive in Rangamati early in the morning and hike for about 2 to 2.5 hours to reach the top of Furmon Hill. There, you can witness the stunning views of Rangamati, especially during sunrise, before heading back home.

3. Shuvolong waterfalls:

This waterfall is a must-visit spot along with the Kaptai Lake because it is just beside the Kaptai Lake. Tourists should visit it in the rainy season because on rainy days Shuvolong becomes one of the most graceful waterfalls in Bangladesh. The ideal time to see this waterfall is right after the rainy season. In other seasons, it seems dead. You will be disappointed for sure. But in monsoon, it is picture-perfect art of nature.

4. Rangamathi to Kaptai (via Rangamati - Kaptai Link Rd):

This road is on my list of Most aesthetic roads in Bangladesh and it ranks 3rd in my list. There are just a few roads in Bangladesh that can capture tourists’ hearts and I am sure that is one of them. The biggest feature of this road is tourists can enjoy the Kaptai Lake by road. Yes, you heard right, tourists can enjoy the Kaptai Lake by road. At least 20 kilometers of the road, tourists can enjoy the Kaptai Lake and if they want, they can stop the car and take in the beauty of the Kaptai Lake as long as they want. This road will be more pleasant if tourists explore it by bike.

The body of the famous Buddhist monk Banavanta is preserved here, he died in 2012. In the 1970s, Banavanta chose the Rangamati district for permanent residence, and his devotees built this monastery for him. There are residential buildings, libraries, shrines, temples, and many other structures for the accommodation of Buddhist monks. Even the construction of the 3rd largest pagoda in south Asia is underway in this monastery. Although the monastery is located in the center of Rangamati City, it is surrounded by greenery and is free from noise.

All of you know what a resort is and what it is for. In this section, I am not talking about tourist places in Rangamati, I am talking about a fact that can enhance tourists’ travel experience. The island-type resorts like Divine Lake Resort, lakeside resorts Liek Lakeshore Resort, Polwel Resorts, and Nishorgo Pod House give luxury to tourists to enjoy Rangamthi with their own Vibe, and some of them feature houseboat that adds more fuel.
