A breathtaking view of Nafa-Khum waterfall surrounded by lush green forest in Bandarban, Bangladesh.

The waterfall is a beautiful art of nature that can instantly bring happiness, comfort, and refreshment. How does a waterfall give all of these at the same time? First of all, when the tourist hears the sound of a waterfall, the sound becomes happiness. Second, when tourists see or find a waterfall in nature where water drops from the top, it becomes a comfort for the eye and soul. The scenery of a waterfall and its surroundings is so charming. Finally, when the tourists touch the water, it instantly brings refreshment. Because a waterfall’s water is cold and magical. Regarding waterfalls, Bangladesh does not have the most beautiful waterfalls in the world but Bangladesh has numerous beautiful waterfalls. I’ll take you to see a few of my country’s waterfalls. Are you prepared?

1. Hum hum waterfalls:

Hum Hum waterfall was discovered in 2009 and became one of the adventurous spots of Shreemomgol for natural lovers. This waterfall is close to the Tripura state of India. To conquer Hum hum waterfalls, everyone has to trek over 4-5 hills, a forest, a bamboo forest, and a few streams. This trek is 4 km long and is neither easy nor difficult. But it will take 2 to 2.5 hours to reach. While trekking there, you can see a few villages of Tripura state. You will eventually come across the stunning Hum Hum waterfalls.

2. Nafakhum waterfall:

I think the Nafakhum waterfall is the most explored waterfall in Bandarban. This waterfall is created from the most beautiful Sangu River in my country and it is situated at the foot of the green hills of Bandarban. These two characters are enough to make tourists become crazy over this waterfall.

3. Amiakhum waterfalls:

Did you notice the two waterfall names are similar: Nafakhum and Amiakhum? Just like their names, there are many things that are similar between these two waterfalls; their appearance, their source, and their nature. However, there is one distinction between these two waterfalls. The thing is Amiakhum waterfall is located in the more deep forest than Nafakhum. This is why it is more beautiful, adventurous, and refresher. If you continue trekking further from Nafakhum waterfall, you will find the Amiakhum waterfall. And this waterfall can surprise you more with surroundings natural spots. Oh, there is another way to go to Amiakhum waterfall and it is way more adventurous.

4. Jadi pai Waterfall:

All along the mountain waterfalls are intoxicating to everyone. So many people rush across the boundary to see that nature. Jadi Pai Waterfall is exactly that kind and one of the big waterfalls in Bandarban. Oh, let me correct my sentence: one of the big waterfalls in Bangladesh. Many natural lovers consider it the queen of waterfalls in Bangladesh.

5. Shuvolong Waterfall:

The most popular waterfall in Rangamati is located by the side of the biggest lake in Bangladesh. Water pours down from the very top of the mountain. In the monsoon season, Shuvolong waterfall is the most attractive waterfall in my country, but except for the monsoon season, it doesn’t look like a waterfall. Apart from the rainy season, there is not much water in this waterfall, and is it good to have a waterfall without water? But in the monsoon, it is just pure beauty and Its water drops will reach your body from far away. Just make sure you visit Shuvolong waterfall in the monsoon.

6. Panthumai waterfall:

Situated along the Bangladesh-India border, at the foot of Meghalaya, Panthumai is a breathtakingly beautiful village. This village is arguably one of the most picturesque in Bangladesh, with the Meghalaya Hills in the background and the Piane River passing by. A massive waterfall known locally as Fatachari waterfall, or Panthumai waterfall, is located next to this village. Frankly speaking, this waterfall is not located in Bangladesh, It is located in India. But Bangladeshi people can see it from a decent distance and we Bengalis find it magically beautiful from the distance. However, to see this waterfall you have to come to Sylhet, the northeastern region of Bangladesh.

Sylhet ➡️ Hadar par ghat ➡️ (On a boat) Panthumai waterfall.

7. Dhuppani waterfall:

Consider it a mystery waterfall of Rangamathi. I consider it as a beautiful daughter of Nature who hides herself in the deep forest of Rangamati. To touch her, you have to accept a hard trekking trail. Where you have to win over 4 hills, cross Tribal Village, and then you will find the beautiful daughter Dhuppani waterfall. Local people discovered it in 2000. At that time local people found a Buddhist monk meditating under the waterfall. There is a unique feature of it. A cave-type structure is found in it, probably the monk meditated there.

8. Napittachora trail:

Yes, I wrote the right word, a trail. A trail of waterfalls, probably 4 major waterfalls: Bandarkhum, Mithaichari, Baghbiani, and Khupikatakhum. Also, the whole trail is filled with numerous small springs. At least you need 3-4 hours to hunt the whole trail.

Dhaka ➡️ Noyduaria Bazar (Dhaka -Chottogram highway) ➡️ (trekking start) Napittachora trail.

9. Khoiyachora Waterfall:

All of you concentrate, here I am introducing you all to the iconic waterfall and the most visited waterfall in Bangladesh. I think, in Bangladesh, everyone already explored this waterfall except my friends: Adel, Naimur, Rijon, and Mridul. In this waterfall, water comes down from the top through more than 10 steps. Which makes it attractive and dangerous.

Dhaka ➡️ Borotakia Bazar or Khoiyachora (Dhaka -Chattogram highway) ➡️ Khoiyachora trek point ➡️ (trekking start) Khoiyachora Waterfall.

10. Tinap Saitar:

Travelers don’t need to look at it, the water-dropping sound of it is enough to make them fall in love with it. Its water drops at a wide range, probably it is the biggest waterfall in my nation in terms of width. Also In terms of water flow, Tinaf Saitar is the biggest waterfall in my nation. Like other waterfalls in Bangladesh, you must go through trekking to win over this waterfall. I am just talking about its water. Don’t worry my friends, Tinaf Saitar Waterfall is top-notch in terms of naturally beautiful.

Bandarban ➡️ Rowangchhari ➡️ Ronipara ➡️ Tinap Saitar.

11. Baklai waterfall:

Baklai Waterfall is my favorite waterfall in my country. As the water descends from it, the water looks like clouds or mists to me. And its height is another reason why it is the most favorite of mine, from 392 feet the water descends like a cloud. The view of water falling like this cloud in the forest is so awesome to see that can’t express it with words. To hunt this waterfall, you need quite a time on your hands. Just to see the Baklai waterfall I spent 4 days at Bandarban.

Bandarban ➡️ Thanchi ➡️ Baklai Para ➡️(start trekking) Baklai waterfall.

My friends, I just flexed with you all. Did I just give you the waterfall names? No, I give the waterfall names that I visited already. How many do you visit? And whenever I visit another amazing waterfall, I will add the name here.
